Façades of The Hague #104

Villa, Balistraat corner Laan Copes van Cattenburch.

The house was built in the 1880s, according to the gable stone in 1882, in an opulent neo-renaissance style.

Laan Copes van Cattenburch and Balistraat were built in the 1870s (Balistraat even a bit earlier) as a new frontier in the dunes towards the northwest of the city.

Although it is quite a remarkable building, it has no special monumental status, but it is, of course, part of a local state protected cityscape.
